In addition to the lights I made for Off-Road cycling I have also made some for my video work. These are made using the MR16 lamps that are obtainable from Maplins. For the simple version it is easy to mount the lamp inside a aluminium case. This one uses a 12 volt 20 watt lamp.

In the posh version I have made up a set of aluminium heat shields to allow the reflected heat to escape, this has a 12 volt 75 watt lamp in it and generates quite a lot of heat. I have also made up some barn doors that also fit over the front of the lamp to protect it when not in use.

For the power supply I use a 12v 6Ah SLA (sealed lead acid) Battery. this has a couple of 12 volt cigar lighter sockets fitted to plug the lamps into.
